Cash and bank funds

Cash is what your character carries, whether it is in Body or Pockets. Your bank balance is separate. New characters start with $1,000 cash and $2,000 bank funds. Transferring between them has no fee. Enter whole positive amounts.

Use the bank

1

Approach the bank

Follow the guide to Bank and approach the bank interaction or clerk.
2

Choose a transfer

Choose Deposit to put carried cash into your bank, or Withdraw to take bank funds as cash.
3

Set the amount

Enter the amount, or choose $50, $100, $250 or the maximum amount.
4

Submit and check balances

Submit the transfer and check the updated balances. Choosing a quick amount only fills the form.
The bank does not have the ATM’s $500 withdrawal window. A transfer still requires enough funds and room in the receiving balance.

Withdraw from an ATM

1

Approach an ATM

Approach an available ATM and interact with it.
2

Request a withdrawal

Enter a withdrawal amount and choose Withdraw.
3

Check your allowance

Check the remaining allowance shown in the ATM panel.
ATMs allow $500 total per character in a 60-second window. For example, withdrawing $300 leaves $200 until that window resets. The window begins with a withdrawal after the previous window has expired; it is not a calendar-minute reset. Use the bank for larger withdrawals. ATMs do not accept deposits. An ATM being stolen or missing is unavailable for withdrawals. Use the bank while waiting for a replacement.
  • Move closer to the bank or ATM.
  • Check both balances and use a whole positive amount.
  • At an ATM, check the remaining withdrawal allowance.
  • Finish the current activity or pending sale before trying another transaction.
  • If the game says progress could not be saved, reconnect before trying again.
See ATM robbery for the separate theft activity.
Dirty Money cannot be deposited, withdrawn as cash or spent. Laundering is not available.
